Suzanne Bilbeisi, RA

Professor Bilbeisi has been a member of the faculty at the OSU School of Architecture since 1993. Her primary role at OSU has been to teach in the Architectural Design Studios, and in her twelve year tenure, she has taught students at every level of the curriculum. In addition, for several years Professor Bilbeisi has taught a course entitled "Architecture and Society", which is a general survey course of architectural history. She also developed in 1995 a course entitled "Introduction to Architecture", and she has remained the primary instructor for this required course directed towards all incoming freshmen into the School of Architecture. As a result of her interest in working with college freshmen, Professor Bilbeisi expanded her involvement with young people by developing pre-college programs.

Professor Bilbeisi was recognized in 1998 with a Young Teacher Award by the National Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture, and in 1996 she was honored by the OSU College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology as a Halliburton Excellent Young Teacher. Upon her graduation from OSU, she received the Dean's Outstanding Graduate Award, the AIA School Medal, and the Alpha Rho Chi Medal. Prior to her appointment at OSU, she was a Project Designer for the firm of Ballinger Architects in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
